Causes of preheater collapse - the structure of the cyclone

The collapse is the uneven flow or accumulation of the raw material in the preheater, so that a large amount of raw material concentrates from the cyclone cone through the ash discharge valve and the discharge pipe to the lower-stage cyclone outlet pipe, and the pipe wind speed is insufficient. The large raw materials are blown off and lifted, and the raw materials are directly collapsed into the kiln through a cyclone or a decomposition furnace.

The inlet angle of the cyclone and the bottom of the volute are too small, and the horizontal section is too long. At the initial stage of feeding, the wind volume of the section is relatively small, and the wind speed of the section is low. A large amount of raw materials are easy to accumulate at small dip angles and horizontal sections. When the disturbance or pressure of the system airflow changes, a large amount of material suddenly slides down to cause collapse. The taper angle of the cone portion of the cyclone is too small, especially when the flatness of the refractory lining is poor. The time is long, not causing blockage, or the collapse of large stocks.

In the normal operation of cement production line, it is necessary to regularly inspect and maintain the preheater.
