  Cement kiln has outstanding advantages in solid waste treatment.

  1. Use existing industrial facilities, do not increase land, reduce environmental interference, relatively less construction investment;

  2. Cement kilns have high temperature calcining and strong alkaline atmosphere, which can effectively inhibit the generation of secondary pollutants such as dioxins. As long as properly controlled, there will be no potential risk of secondary pollution;

  3. Not only the reduction of solid waste and the utilization of resources should be realized, but also the cement industry should be promoted to the development of green environmental protection industry.

  As early as in December 2017 at the national cement kiln cooperative disposal innovation and development conference, it is understood that China has built about 80 cement kiln cooperative treatment line.The domestic waste treatment scale of cement kiln reaches 5 million tons per year, the urban sludge treatment capacity is nearly 2 million tons per year, and the hazardous waste examination and approval capacity exceeds 1.5 million tons per year.

  Technical difficulties in cooperative disposal of solid waste in cement kilns

  The cooperative disposal of cement kiln is not perfect, but there are some problems to be solved.It is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

  1. Technical gap in collaborative disposal of cement kilns in China.Gao changming, senior consultant of China cement association, said recently that calorific value is the main way to determine the substitution rate in developed countries.The average replacement rate in developed countries is 23 per cent and in Germany it is close to 70 per cent.Even compared with the world average of 4%, the gap between China and other developed countries is still obvious.

  2. There may be safety problems in the process of coordinated disposal of cement kilns.Due to the high temperature of kiln, kiln gas often up to 1000 ~ 2000 ℃.This is conducive to the decomposition of organic substances and dioxins, but also leads to a sharp increase in the production of thermodynamic NOX.In this process, inflammable and explosive chemical reactions may occur, which requires high requirements for the equipment used, and the possible hazardous conditions of materials in the process of processing should be fully considered.

  3. The complexity of the waste to be treated should be fully considered in the design of waste and hazardous waste treatment equipment.Above all, the material of equipment itself should achieve quality requirement, assure service life thereby.For example, crusher tools made of materials to reach the standard, to ensure reliable quality, not easy to damage, and has a long wear life.Barrels of hazardous waste can be directly crushed.Second, the drive system must withstand repeated shock loads.When the hard to break materials in the crushing process, it will automatically increase the crushing torque or automatically discharge non-broken materials.

  4. In combination with China's cement kiln processing technology and solid waste characteristics, due to the late introduction of cement kiln solid waste into China, technical design, operation management, risk control and other aspects need to be improved.Solid waste classification in China is not as accurate as that in foreign countries, with low solid waste heat value and high chlorine element. It is difficult to effectively reduce the chlorine content in solid waste or even increase the chlorine content in the pretreatment system of cement kiln coordinated disposal of solid waste, thus aggravating air pollution.

  Although, compared with the traditional landfill and incineration methods, the advantages of cooperative disposal of solid waste by cement kilns are obvious, and the state also provides support in terms of policies and funds.However, due to the late start, the system of technology, operation, supervision and other aspects needed in the cement kiln construction process also needs to be improved urgently, and it also faces many obstacles in the development process.Therefore, there is still a long way to explore the collaborative treatment of solid waste in cement kilns.
