  1. The size of the grinding material

  The size of the milled material affects the output and quality of the ball mill, the particle size is small, the mill has high production, high quality and low power consumption. When the particle size is large, the mill has low production, low quality and high-power consumption.

  2, The material is easy to wear

  The grindability of the material refers to the difficulty of the material being ground. The national standard specifies the crushing work index Wi(kwh/t). The smaller the value, the better the material is ground, and the more difficult it is.

  3, The moisture of the grinding material

  Ball mill grinding can be divided into dry and wet. For the dry grinding method, the moisture of the grinding material has a great influence on the production and quality of the mill. The higher the moisture of the grinding material, the more likely it is to cause fullness. Grinding or pasting reduces the grinding efficiency and the lower the mill output. Therefore, the material with a large moisture content is necessary for drying before grinding.

  4, The temperature of the material into the mill

  If the temperature of the material to be milled is too high and the impact friction of the grinding body is excessive, the temperature inside the mill will be excessive, the ball sticking phenomenon will occur, the grinding efficiency will be reduced, and the mill output will be affected. At the same time, the mill cylinder is affected by thermal expansion and affects the long-term safe operation of the mill. Therefore, the temperature of the milled material must be strictly controlled.

  5, The fineness of requirements of the grinding material

  The finer the fineness requirements of the milled material, the lower the yield, and the vice versa, the higher the yield. For some areas, over-emphasis on fineness is not in line with economic production requirements. For example, in the cement industry, actual production shows that when the product fineness is in the range of 5 to 10%, the yield is reduced by 5% for every 2% reduction in fineness, and when the fineness is controlled below 5%, the mill output is decreased more. Therefore, choosing the right product fineness is also an important factor to improve the production and quality of the ball mill.

  6, Grinding process

  For the ball mill of the same specification, the closed-circuit process is 15~20% higher than the open circuit process; in the closed circuit operation, selecting the proper powder selection efficiency and cycle load rate is an important factor to increase the mill output.

  7, Powder selection efficiency

  The efficiency of the powder selection of the closed-circuit mill has a great influence on the output of the mill. In general, the efficiency of the powder separator is high, which can improve the grinding efficiency of the mill. However, the powder separator itself cannot be used for grinding, so that role of the powder separator must be matched with the grinding action of the mill to increase the mill output. The production practice proves that the efficiency of the first-stage closed-circuit long-milling machine is generally controlled at 50~80%. The most ideal powder selection efficiency is determined by several tests.

  8, Cycle load rate

  The cycle load rate refers to the ratio of the amount of powder returned by the classifier to the amount of finished product. In order to improve the grinding efficiency of the mill and reduce the phenomenon of over-grinding in the mill, the cyclic load rate should be appropriately increased. However, if the cycle load rate is increased to a high level, the material in the mill will be excessive, which will reduce the grinding efficiency.

  9, Added grinding

  Some grinding aids will affect the grinding effect, because most of the commonly used grinding aids are organic substances with strong surface activity. During the material grinding process, they can absorb on the surface of the material, accelerate the crack propagation in the material pulverization, and reduce the fine powder. The mutual bonding between them improves the grinding efficiency and is conducive to the energy saving and high yield of the ball mill.

  10, The ball to material ratio

  The ball to material ratio is the ratio of the mass of the abrasive body to the mass of the material. The ball-to-material ratio is too large, which increases the useless work loss of the impact friction between the abrasive body and the lining plate, resulting in an increase in power consumption and a decrease in yield.
