Factors affecting the production efficiency of ball mill

Ball mill uses extrusion pressure and shear force between grinding media to crush materials, which is widely used in metallurgy, ceramics, mineral processing, chemical, cement, thermal power and other industries. First, the main factors affecting the grinding efficiency of ball mill


1. The gradation and loading of grinding body are unreasonable: the specification and loading amount of grinding body are not reasonably selected according to different material characteristics, which leads to the low output coefficient (output / loading) of grinding machine, which is generally 0.4 ≤ 0.8.

2. In the process of material crushing, the crushing energy is not broken according to the required crushing energy, so as to maximize the utilization of crushing energy.

3, mixed grinding of different characteristic materials: the sundries in the materials are not screened (such as stones in coal, etc.) and the bulk materials are not pre-broken.

4. The working condition adjustment is unreasonable: ventilation output, drying output and grinding output do not match, and the invalid energy consumption increases.

5, the wear resistance of the grinding body is poor: after a period of operation, the roundness rate increases and the grinding output decreases.

Second, the basic principle of energy saving of ball mill


The material in the ball mill, the steel ball and the liner collide with each other to produce noise, and the noise varies with the change of the material quantity in the ball mill. When the material is less, the collision probability of steel ball and liner is large, the energy is large, and the noise is large. With the increase of material quantity, the collision probability of steel ball and liner decreases, and the energy becomes smaller, and the noise also decreases with the increase of material quantity.

Third, the idea of improving grinding efficiency


1. Optimizing the gradation and loading of grinding body: according to the distribution characteristics of material particle size, the impact work and outlet fineness required for crushing are required to determine the shape, size and loading amount of grinding body of different specifications, and to improve the crushing efficiency.

2. Optimize the structure and arrangement of the liner of the mill to realize graded crushing: according to the movement track of the material in the crushing process of the mill, by improving the structure and arrangement of the liner, the abrasive body can be thrown and the height involved, so that the grinding body can be classified automatically and positively along the length of the mill according to the size distribution specification of the material, so as to maximize the utilization of grinding energy.

3. Optimization of operating conditions: according to different material characteristics (water, grindable coefficient, electrostatic adsorption), the differential pressure of mill, outlet temperature, feed quantity and separation efficiency of separation equipment are adjusted by experiment, and the control standard of operation parameters is established to keep the mill running under the maximum output force for a long time.

Through the analysis of the working characteristics of the ball mill and a set of energy saving technology of the ball mill, the ball mill can always work at the maximum output point, improve the production efficiency, and thus achieve the purpose of energy saving.
